Land Rover’s Terrain Response technology is incorporated into all models. There are five terrain settings that are prepared for anywhere from on-road to extreme off-road conditions. The settings are for dry pavement driving, snow, mud, sand and rock crawling. The Range Rover is the premium SUV for off-roading.

The 2008 Range Rover is available in two trims: the HSE and Supercharged. The HSE has 19-inch wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, adjustable air suspension, a sunroof, xenon headlights, Bluetooth, a navigation system, leather upholstery, a 14-speaker Harm Kardon Logic7 stereo and other features also come standard. The Supercharged includes 20-inch wheels, adaptive headlights, upgraded leather upholstery and ventilated 14-way power seats. Optional features for each trim is a rear-seat entertainment system equipped with a six-DVD changer and two LCD screens.

The HSE trim has a 4.4-liter V-8 engine that produces 305-horsepower; while the Supercharged produced 400-horsepower with a 4.2-liter V8 engine.

The legacy of the Land Rover being the go-to vehicle for off-road adventures is continued with the Land Rover LR3. Dropping the V6 engine this year, the only engine available is a 300-horsepower, 4.4-liter V-8.

For the 2008, the Land Rover LR3 is available in two trim levels: the SE and HSE. The SE trim level comes with 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, power front seats, a power front sunroof, a fixed rear sunroof and a nine-speaker stereo. The HSE upgrades to 19-inch wheels, a power-tilt steering wheel and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon Logic 7 sound system. Optional features for the SE like bi-xenon headlights, voice-activated trip computer, Bluetooth and a DVD-based navigation system come standard on the HSE.

Three rows of seating fit seven in the LR3. The second- and third-row seats fold flat, while the third row passengers also enjoy stadium seating. The rotary switch selects from five Terrain Response settings. Respectively, the terrain settings are normal driving, slippery conditions, mud, sand and rock crawling.

Standard safety features include antilock brakes, an electronic parking brake, front airbags, side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags.
