The 2010 Freelander 2 Sport is headed your way. LR’s Freelander 2 Sport will be powered by a 2.2-liter TD4 diesel engine with 160 horse power/400 Nm of torque. There are no performance specs released as of yet, but an average Land Rover Sport will hit 0 – 60 in about 10.5 – 11 seconds, topping out at 112 mph. Not bad for riding on 19-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels. The Sport’s got a fuel consumption rating of 42.2mpg with the standard six-speed manual, keeping the eco-geeks happy.

Both interior and exterior styles are available in two-tone gray/black. Land Rover also offers a sport styling package which includes revised front and rear bumper fascias. We love the interior Sport logos on each head rest.

This small SUV sports Land Rover’s innovative start/stop technology, and boasts a fuel range of 42.2 miles per gallon. The 2010 Freelander 2 includes remote central locking, seven airbags, two ISOFIX points, power steering, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, air conditioning, auxiliary audio jack, Roll Stability Control (RSC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as standard.

The Freelander 2 10MY line-up also offers modified trim-levels to the ‘GS’ and ‘XS’ specifications including a hands-free Personal Telephone Integration (PTI) Bluetooth® system, Alpine In-Car Entertainment (ICE) and heated front seats. In addition there are two new exterior colours: Bali Blue, replacing Martinique Blue and Ipanema Sand, replacing Nazca Sand (available from June 2009) and a new interior colour of Storm grey.
