The 2010 Land Rover Range Rover is already one of the classier SUV’s on the road today. Add in reclined rear seating and attendants and it’ll kick it up a notch. Design Q – a British vehicle and visual design company, decided to take Range Rover’s interior and create a car Donald Trump will probably own two of.

British firm Design Q has gone to great lengths to make the wealthy and important never have to face the horror of a regularly hinged door. The company’s Range Rover Q-VR features an elevated roof in order to create rear-seat space, and to support the truck’s massive, step-through gullwing door. Inside, the Q-VR includes large reclining seats, a drink chiller, a humidor, a computer panel of some sort, and something called a “mini-spa centre.”

The Project Kahn 2010 Range Rover Sport RS600 uses a supercharged 5.0-liter HSE petrol engine producing 600 horsepower. Aside from the performance boost, engineers added or adapted ten different body parts on the exterior.

22-inch RS alloy wheels have also been installed. The interior is kitted out with quilted leather front and rear seats, with the material also used on the dash and glove box. Neither Jaguar nor Land Rover currently have a hybrid vehicle in their lineups, remaining in an ever-shrinking group of similar automakers. As we reported mid-last year, the upcoming small Jaguar sports roadster, commonly dubbed XE, could feature an extended-range hybrid powertrain, possibly featuring a small three-cylinder gasoline engine. Jaguar is also said to be working on experimental hybrid and electric versions of its new flagship XJ sedan.

This might be why, at least according to Jalopnik. The Olympic gold medalist/pot enthusiast likes to pose in front of cars that are apparently his, including a Mercedes SL and pimped-out Land Rover. Personally, I don’t see Phelps as being douchie in the picture, but “No Limits” – how many bad auto detailing places in America have lame “EXTREME!!!!” names?

Yes friends, it’s the small Rover – Land Rover/Range Rover LRX is coming in all its two-door might. The LRX Coupe Concept was officially released today, and frankly we’re impressed. It will be interesting to see Land Rover tackle this 2-door world in this day & age. LRX stays in tune with the new-age design of most Range Rovers, no word yet on an interior or what’s under her hood. Check out the full press release below.

Small Range Rover confirmed for production

Gaydon, Warwickshire, 24 September 2009 – Land Rover has confirmed today a production version of its exciting LRX concept car will be built. The new car will debut next year and join the Range Rover line-up in 2011.

Designed and engineered at Land Rover’s state of the art Gaydon facility, the new Range Rover will be the smallest, lightest and most efficient vehicle the company has ever produced.

The new car will be built at the multi award-winning plant in Halewood, on Merseyside, subject to quality and productivity agreements and will be sold in over 100 countries around the world.

Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover said: “The production of a small Range Rover model is excellent news for our employees, dealers and customers. It is a demonstration of our commitment to investing for the future, to continue to deliver relevant vehicles for our customers, with the outstanding breadth of capability for which we are world-renowned.”

“Feedback from our customer research also fully supports our belief that a production version of the LRX Concept would further raise the desirability of our brand and absolutely meet their expectations.” Phil added.

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director said “The new vehicle will be a natural extension to the Range Rover line-up, complementing the existing models and helping to define a new segment. It will be true to the concept and have many recognizable Range Rover design cues including the signature clamshell bonnet, the floating roof and the solid ‘wheel-at-each-corner’ stance.” More details of the new small Range Rover will be released next year.

Who doesn’t love a tease? Land Rover is presenting a Holland & Holland Range Rover edition – but they’re only showing off teaser images for now. All you’ll see are concept drawings and a covered mock up of 2010’s Range Rover, which was the basis for this Holland & Holland Edition. So, who exactly are Holland & Holland…

Holland & Holland are bespoke sporting gun and rifle makers, founded in London in 1835 by Harris Holland, who was later joined by his nephew Henry to create the eponymous brand. Overfinch,  in charge of this vehicle and all its performance beauty, is a high-end luxury sports car builder. Details are limited, the teaser image suggests the SUV will feature an exclusive four-seat arrangement, including a refrigerated console dividing the two rear seats. In the cargo compartment, a massive wood chest with pull out drawers has been installed. Fans of Special Edition Range Rovers such as this will have to wait until September for an official unveiling. Overfinch is a design-led engineering company that has over the last 34 years built a luxury brand. It was in 1975, only a few years after the Range Rover was launched, that Schuler (later to become Overfinch) built their first high performance derivative.

During that time, their in house design and engineering departments have enjoyed a close working relationship with Land Rover, starting with the development of the first ever automatic Range Rover and notably including a Paris Dakar win on behalf of Land Rover France in 1981.
