2008 Land Rover LR2 Review, Pictures & Video

Technologically advanced, the Land Rover LR2 replaces the Freelander this year. Not only does it provide comfort both on- and off-the-road, the LR2 appeals to those who want quality performance without paying too much for it. The starting price of $33,985 gives the LR2 advantage over SUV-competitors who range from $38,000 to $90,000.The Land Rover LR2 is designed with plenty of mechanical DNA that provides the easiest ride for a Land Rover as of yet. The LR2 maintains its upscale image with the interior features, but is equipped with all-independent suspension and a new inline six-cylinder engine.
The four-door luxury SUV is offered in two trim levels: the SE and HSE. The standard SE includes 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button ignition, a dual-panel sunroof, leather seating, power front seats and a nine-speaker Alpine stereo. The HS2 adds body-colored bumpers and side sills, an interior storage box and upgraded power front seats.
Roomy enough to seat five passengers, the Land Rover LR2 has plenty of similar features to the LR3. The optional navigation system’s touch screen interface is user-friendly and the steering wheel has a wide range of adjustments for finding a comfortable driving position.
